Summary of the Job:

The Director, Finance role is accountable for partnering with Partner Segment management on day-to-day financial management reporting and processes. The role will have a comprehensive understanding of the Partner Segment balance sheet and income statement. This role would be required to support management in providing analysis to senior leaders and their management teams on their operating results, and working with them to identify areas of efficiency, explain variances to plan and communicate accounting implications of various decisions. The individual in this role will be expected to assist in identifying management reporting needs to assist the business in achieving its goals. This position should have a thorough understanding of financial scenarios and will work with functional groups to communicate.

About This Role:

Key Accountabilities:
  • Lead the headcount and non-interest expense planning process for the Partner Segment's annual budget and periodic forecasts, partnering with several members of the Partner organization, including Marketing and Customer Operations.
  • Engage senior management in the expense management process and look for efficiency opportunities.
  • Provide senior management with relevant information to enhance business unit performance.
  • Develop trend analysis and performance reporting that can be utilized in forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Participate in month-end close, including journal entry processing, preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis of actual results against budget/forecast.
  • Ensure accurate accounting treatment and appropriate general ledger policies and controls are being followed.
  • Prepare incentive compensation calculations, ensuring alignment with annual incentive plans and timely payment processing.
  • Assist with review of team output, including journal entries, rebates and network reporting

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive Accounting/Finance experience.
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting, as well as in preparing and providing detailed reporting of business results.
  • Strong technical accounting skills.
  • Comprehensive desktop software ability and detailed experience in Excel; strong understanding and experience in financial reporting software, familiarity with Word, Access, Hyperion, and PowerPoint desired.
  • Compliance: Understand and comply with bank policy, laws, regulations, and the bank's BSA/AML Program, as applicable to your job duties. Complete compliance training and adhere to internal procedures and controls, as required

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $95,857.00-$162,957.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
