Job Description:

Responsibilities
Health Research, Inc. is seeking an Evaluation Specialist IV, to work within the AIDS Institute, Division of Epidemiology, Evaluation, and Partner Services. The incumbent will play a critical role in translating syndemic-informed HIV surveillance data into actionable public health strategies. In this role, the incumbent will work closely with program staff, partner services, and local health officials to ensure data is effectively used to drive holistic, syndemic-based interventions. The incumbent will also develop and lead training efforts to enhance stakeholders ability to interpret, apply, and communicate surveillance insights within a syndemic framework. This position is an opportunity to bridge epidemiologic findings with public health action, ensuring that prevention, treatment, and policy efforts address the interconnections between infectious diseases, substance use, and social determinants of health.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of experience in the evaluation and/or analysis of health, human services or related programs and/or fields; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and six years of such experience; OR eight years of such experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of such experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in a related field and three years of experience in the evaluation and/or analysis of health, human services or related programs and/or fields. Knowledge of HIV/AIDS continuum of care services in NYS. At least two years of experience in administration and/or management of HIV/AIDS-related program services. Knowledge and experience with confidentiality protocols in relation to data dissemination. Experience with data dissemination, especially the use of graphical methods for infographics.

Conditions of Employment

Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required.

Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Travel, up to 10% of the time, may be required.

The selected candidate must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the official work location specified in the job posting and must also be located in or willing to relocate to one of the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Vermont, or Massachusetts, prior to hire. Telecommuting will be available.
