FOX Sports is looking for a Production Assistant to join their team in Los Angeles, CA. The Production Assistant is responsible for working under and supporting the Coordinating Producer, Producers, Feature Producers, and other show staff in the production of studio shows. The primary function is to view, log, and edit tapes for studio shows and perform other tasks to help maintain the production quality for shows.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • View, log, and edit tapes for the studio show
  • Work under Producers and other staffers in handling video needs for the show, digital group, and other platforms
  • More experienced Production Assistants can cut stylized tapes for studio shows
  • Use music, soundbites from players, and other elements to produce higher-end tapes for the shows.
  • Go on the road for bigger events and provide production support for producers, including logging tapes, choosing video for various elements, and communicating with those back in LA on needs while on the road
  • Work within the tape room with Senior Associate Producers to organize and communicate the edited tapes for the show with the control room staff
  • Handle more routine day-to-day functions of production, including making links/dubs, shipping, music cue sheets, and coordinating various errands for the production needs of the department

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Some experience in show production and/or technical operations
  • Vast knowledge of sports
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced sports production environment
  • Proficient with computers, Internet, email, telephone, and printer

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Bachelor's degree

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $19.00-20.68 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
