Utz Brands is on the hunt for a bold and strategic Director of Brand Management to take ownership of Boulder Canyon-the fastest-growing brand in our better-for-you lineup-and a collection of iconic regional favorites like Vitner's, Snyder's of Berlin, and HK Anderson. Based in Chicago, Hanover, or Dallas, this role blends entrepreneurial energy with data-driven marketing leadership. Reporting to the SVP, Brand Marketing, this role will have 2 direct reports and With two direct will drive the leadership for brand growth and elevating brand equity by creating and executing multi-year marketing plans, building and enhancing brand assets, and driving brand positioning and vision while executing projects and innovation to deliver revenue and profit targets. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in marketing, consumer behavior, or business management; MBA preferred. Superior analytical thinking with the ability to identify key insights and build growth strategies and the ability to function on a project basis while maintaining strategic vision are crucial in this position. Excellent leadership skills are also a must-have!

Responsibilities:



  • Thoroughly analyzes business and consumer trends, identifies key insights, and builds aggressive growth strategies for Boulder Canyon and the regional brand portfolio.
  • Develop integrated brand plans that include key growth initiatives such as brand advertising, consumer promotion, PR, packaging design, and innovation.
  • Works in Partnership with RGM (Revenue Growth Management) and Category Insights to ensure competitive pricing, identify distribution gaps, sizes, and new products, and leads efforts to capitalize on such opportunities for increased sales and profits, including an intense focus on UBI's valued customers and consumers.
  • Shapes, prioritizes, and communicates the brand's vision and mission and translates initiatives into effective go-to-market plans for Boulder Canyon and the regional portfolio marketing efforts.
  • Responsible for brand P&L and leads activities to deliver revenue and profit.
  • Partners with commercialization to perform SKU rationalization to maximize productivity. Implements optimal assortment to maximize sales and margin.
  • Effectively manages and coaches other marketing personnel and is an expert in cross-functional influence and leadership.
  • Leads creative development in partnership with the Marketing Communications team to motivate the target audience to "take action" and build long-term brand health
  • Develops new products, packaging, and promotions to expand position in the marketplace.
  • Responsible for supporting quality and food safety functions to deliver consistent and quality snacks across the portfolio.



Requirements:



  • A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Consumer Behavior, or Business Management required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in CPG brand and/or customer marketing roles
  • Superior analytical thinking with the ability to identify key insights and build growth strategies
  • Ability to function on a project basis while maintaining strategic vision.
  • Expert collaboration with internal sales and marketing departments as well as representing Utz with agencies, strategic partners, and vendors.
  • Must possess excellent leadership and relationship-building skills
  • Proven leadership in developing and empowering employees to achieve objectives with a team-based approach
  • Ability to display an entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to flourish in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
