Director, Solution Management Hospice & Palliative

WellSky is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Solution/Product Management to own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for our market-leading Hospice & Palliative Care solution. As a key product leader, you will translate complex market needs and big-picture vision into actionable product plans that drive significant business value. You will lead a team of direct reports responsible for core product areas, ensuring our solutions meet the evolving needs of our customers and the market. Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Strategy & Vision: Define and drive the strategic direction for the Hospice & Palliative Care product portfolio, aligning with overall business goals and market opportunities.
  • Roadmap & Lifecycle Management: Own and manage the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to launch and iteration, including developing and maintaining a 3-year strategic vision and annual operating plans.
  • AI/ML Innovation: Actively explore and leverage AI/ML technologies to innovate and differentiate our product offerings.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on go-to-market strategy, pricing, and packaging for new and existing solutions to maximize market penetration.
  • Cross-functional Leadership: Partner closely with Engineering leadership, VP of Solutions, General Manager, Sales, and Marketing to ensure alignment, manage dependencies, and achieve business objectives (including P&L responsibility for product portfolio, potentially exceeding $20MM annual revenue).
  • Market Analysis & Requirements: Conduct comprehensive market analysis, define user stories, create business cases, and make data-driven decisions regarding product rationalization and prioritization.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of product managers (direct reports or matrixed), fostering collaboration and accountability for solution delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build effective partnerships across the organization to evaluate client experience and identify areas of opportunity.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of related work experience in Product Management, Product Strategy, or Solutions Management.
  • 4-5 years of direct people management experience leading product teams.
  • Proven track record of leading end-to-end product development and lifecycle management, from ideation to launch and scaling.
  • Significant experience within the Healthcare Technology (HealthTech) sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct clinical experience or deep operational knowledge in Hospice or Palliative Care settings.
  • Experience with AI/ML product development, implementation, or strategy.
  • Experience managing SaaS products within an Agile development framework.
  • MBA or advanced degree.

Job Expectations:

  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
  • Must work in accordance with applicable security policies and procedures to safeguard company and client information
  • Must be able to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods of time
