Responsibilities

The Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) Champion is a trusted leader responsible for initiating, supporting, and sustaining trauma-informed change efforts within the organization. This role helps embed trauma-informed principles into everyday operations, culture, and practices to create a safe, compassionate, and empowering environment for both clients and staff. This is an important new position at Belmont Pines. No completed college education or licensure status is necessary, nor does it disqualify an applicant. Current employees of all disciplines are encouraged to apply.

  • Lead and Inspire Culture Change: Generate enthusiasm and commitment for trauma-informed practices. Keep guiding principles at the forefront of staff awareness through consistent modeling, conversation, and advocacy.
  • Collaborative Leadership: Serve as a representative and voice for trauma-informed initiatives within leadership teams, committees, or workgroups. If not in a formal leadership role, provide regular feedback to organizational leadership to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • Guide the Change Process: Actively participate in planning, assessment, and implementation efforts related to trauma-informed care. Monitor progress and offer insight to maintain momentum and resolve barriers.
  • Coordinate TIC Training and Coaching: Support ongoing education for all staff related to trauma-informed principles and practices. Assist in conducting new hire TIC training and ensure that all employees receive this foundational content, regardless of role. Will work entire floor shifts beside BCT's actively modeling TIC care, Coaching TIC care
  • Provide Technical Assistance: Offer guidance and consultation to staff on how to integrate TIC into programming, policies, and physical environments. Help translate core values into daily activities, interactions, and decisions.
  • Develop Training & Resources: Contribute to the creation and refinement of TIC training materials, coaching tools, and awareness-building resources for continued staff development.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience or training in trauma-informed care frameworks (e.g., SAMHSA's TIC Principles, ACEs, etc.)
  • Experience delivering training, facilitating groups, or mentoring peers
  • Strong emotional intelligence, communication skills, and systems awareness
