Clariant is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to support the Care Chemicals business unit in Broussard, LA. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving record, and a commitment to safety. As a Long-Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting industrial chemicals across long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, and ensuring timely deliveries. Truck routes are dispatched out of various Clariant locations with delivery routes throughout the Southeastern region of the US. We offer competitive hourly pay, daily meal stipends, and more! Responsibilities

* Operate and drive tractor-trailer combination or straight trucks to transport goods over long distances

* Plan routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines while maximizing efficiency

* Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and handling of goods

* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness

* Monitor vehicle performance and report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs

* Adhere to all applicable traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards

* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and expenses

* Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members

* Follow company policies and procedures regarding transportation, safety, and security

* Uphold a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and the public



Requirements

* High school diploma or GED

* Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) with Hazmat/Tanker endorsements

* A clean driving record

* Minimum of 3 years of experience as a commercial truck driver, with a proven track record of safe driving

* Excellent knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices

* Ability to operate and maintain various types of commercial vehicles and equipment

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

* Flexibility to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed

* Willingness to undergo drug screenings and background checks as required
