The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for coordinating quality activities within Spincraft. The Senior Quality Engineer is expected to exercise sound technical judgment using data gathered from internal monitoring to implement and sustain suitable processes that enable continual improvement to reach efficiency targets.

This role works closely with all levels of the Engineering, Finance, Production, Purchasing, Facilities, and EHS departments to ensure that systems and processes across the facility consider quality requirements to match strategy and reports directly to the Quality Manager.

What You'll Do



  • Develop and implement quality documentation such as procedures, work instructions, single-point lessons, etc.
  • Interpret complex drawings, documents, and specifications to facilitate product / process implementation.
  • Monitor and analyze quality trends and performance, and report to the Quality Manager.
  • Collaborate with Quality Manager and Operations Manager to develop and implement controls and improvements.
  • Perform RCCA utilizing PDCA/DMAIC, or other problem-solving methodology to resolve issues.
  • Determine and implement robust corrective and preventive actions.
  • Lead formal problem-solving teams to resolve important quality issues.
  • Investigate customer, product, and supplier complaints.
  • Train Inspectors and Quality Technicians in all facets of quality.
  • Interface with customers and suppliers, as required, to resolve quality issues.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to facilitate the execution of PFMEAs, Control Plans, and Process Flowcharts.
  • Work with Engineering and Quality to determine the appropriate measuring methods and tools to carry out inspections.
  • Support the Materials Review Board (MRB) in investigating and dispositioning of NCRs. When warranted, submit NCRs/CAPAs/Information to customers for disposition.
  • Work with Engineering to develop required procedures, work instructions, inspection data sheets, etc.
  • Works with IMSXpress Quality Management System software.
  • Work with Discus FAI Bubbling software.
  • Work with ProLink SPC software.
  • Familiarity with Risk Management / Risk Mitigation.
  • Work cross-functionally to support development / prototype projects.
  • Travel up to 20% annually to support of customers and suppliers.



What You'll Bring



  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in maintaining AS9100D and ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing environment. Will consider experience in IATF16949, or ISO13485.
