Position Overview

As a Physical Therapist in our Acute Care department, you will provide high-quality, individualized therapy services to adult and geriatric patients. Working under the general supervision of Therapy Leadership, you will:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized treatment plans
  • Deliver direct patient care and oversee rehabilitation technicians
  • Provide general supervision to Physical Therapist Assistants in accordance with Missouri State Practice Acts
  • Ensure all care aligns with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards

This role is ideal for a compassionate and skilled therapist who thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment and is committed to improving patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Education:Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy
  • Licensure:Current or temporary Physical Therapy license in the state of Missouri
  • Certifications:Current BLS certification (must be active before providing independent care)
  • Experience:New grads welcome! 6 months to 1 year of experience in rehab or with adult/geriatric patients is preferred
  • Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and reaching
