Summary

Documents and redesigns process and workflow for designated departments/divisions. Liaises between project team and departments supported. Works closely with application coordinators to construct and test new workflows and system build. Coordinates with users to redesign processes and workflows using best practice standards. Recognizes and participates in work processes improvements. Assists with the administration and support of automated systems including equipment coordination, troubleshooting, construction, and testing of technical software and hardware within designated departments/divisions. Assumes responsibility for the development of project plans and tasks. Works with designated Clinical Departments during project implementation phases.

Job Duties

  • Supports LVHN values and exhibits excellent customer/guest relations in anticipating customer/guest needs in all interactions.
  • Analyzes work processes and compares to best practices creating an ideal state with standard work.
  • Utilizes effective communication skills in interpersonal interactions with patients and families, physicians, students, fellow employees, vendors, and the public.
  • Participates or manages project teams.
  • Supports and embeds Patient-Centered Experience initiatives.
  • Participates in and applies research in practice.
  • Assists in developing LVHN standards for assessment, development, and implementation of applications and systems.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or
  • equivalent operational/clinical healthcare experience.
  • 3 years of progressive clinical/healthcare experience with demonstrated experience leading teams, committees, implementations or other special projects.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and to be self-motivated and self-disciplined.
  • General knowledge of personal computer tools.
  • Working knowledge of current work process.
  • Ability to focus on details and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and to consistently apply standards with flexibility for various department functions.
  • Knowledge and ability to extract key data elements from data systems required as well as software programs including MS Office and Visio.
  • EPIC - EPIC Certification - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in nursing or related field.
  • CPHIMS - Cert Professional Hlthcare Infor-Mgt Sys - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire and
  • RN-BC - Informatics Nurse ANCC - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire
  • RN - Licensed Registered Nurse_PA - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
