Worksite Schedule: 4-days onsite in Addison, TX (Monday - Thursday, Fridays remote)

Salary Conversion: $100,000 - $130,000, based on experience and credentials

Overview:

Vaco is seeking a talentedPowerBuilder Software Engineerto support and enhance acore business applicationin theHealthcare industry. This role requires expertise inPowerBuilderdevelopment, along withenterprise-level .NET development and integrations experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving existing applications while contributing to modernization efforts. This position will be required to work onsite 4-days per week in Addison, TX and candidates must be local to the Dallas/Fort Worth market, as our client is unable to cover relocation expenses at this time. Candidates must also be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen and must be legally eligible to work in the United States, as our client is unable to sponsor at this time.

Job Scope:
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance aPowerBuilder-based core business application.
  • Support and troubleshoot existingPowerBuilderand.NET components.
  • Assist in the design and development of newenterprise-level .NET integrations and solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets business needs.
  • Participate incode reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and high-quality standards.
  • Work with aSybase back-end, with plans for future migration toSQL Server.
  • Support potentialcloud migration efforts, leveragingAzurewhere applicable.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication with team members and stakeholders.

Must Have Requirements:
  • 3+ yearsof experience inPowerBuilderdevelopment.
  • 2+ years of experience with .NET (C#) and Microsoft technologiesat an enterprise level.
  • Strong database experience, particularly withSybase and SQL Server.
  • Familiarity withmodern software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Excellentproblem-solving skillsand the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in theHealthcare industryis a plus.
  • Prior experience working within AWS or Azure Cloud Services a plus

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
