Genesis10 is currently seeking a Google Cloud Engineer with our client in the financial Industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Architect and deploy robust GCP-based infrastructure solutions for scalability, security, and performance Monitor and manage cloud resources using GCP-native tools such as Stackdriver and Cloud Monitoring Partner with application and DevOps teams to optimize CI/CD workflows using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build Configure and maintain services like Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage Perform cost-efficiency reviews, security audits, and performance tuning Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across GCP services, networks, and containerized applications Ensure adherence to industry security standards, IAM practices, and internal compliance policies Required Qualifications: 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, including roles focused on cloud-based development and infrastructure Demonstrated expertise in GCP services and architecture (e.g., Compute, Networking, Kubernetes, Serverless, IAM) Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python and Bash Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Google Cloud Build) Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and access control models Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills Pay Range: $72-82 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
