Description

KEMET, a YAGEO Group company, is currently seeking a MES Developer in our Simpsonville, SC location. This position is responsible for ensuring the timely and high-quality delivery of MES (Manufacturing Execution System) services, including new feature development, system enhancements, and daily operational support. The role involves close collaboration with both business stakeholders and the development team to oversee support efforts, assist the support team in understanding business requirements, coordinate project estimations and deliverables, develop applications when necessary, conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and manage project releases.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with business stakeholders as part of the MES team at the Simpsonville location to deliver high-quality MES applications in a timely manner.
  • Make code changes to existing applications to support evolving business needs.
  • Coordinate with business users on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for project requests and manage project releases.
  • Work with the global architect to continuously design and enhance the global MES system, supporting standardization and consolidation efforts.

    • Ensure SOX compliance throughout project delivery, including:
    • Strict adherence to process compliance.


  • Maintaining production environment safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Proactive thinking and initiative in execution.
  • Experience with .NET Windows and web application development.
  • Experience with SQL Server and/or Oracle database development.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience with IT system development under SOX compliance is a plus.
  • Preferred: Experience with Vue.js and microservices architecture.
  • Preferred: Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Red Hat OpenShift.
