At Optum, our Real-Time Settlement Payer Product team is focused on delivering innovative solutions that ensure accurate payment by driving transparency to Payer specific requirements across the Revenue Cycle.

The Product Manager will collaborate to define and support product strategy. In this role, you must be able to effectively communicate complex concepts with vendors, customers, co-workers and management, both verbally and in writing. You must balance a self-motivated, independent work ethic with the desire to educate and assist others. Organization, prioritization, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure are all crucial. Must have the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Build business requirements and use cases
  • Ability to gather and analyze data from various sources to extract actionable insights
  • Conduct market research on specific topics to identify trends or assess capabilities
  • Support Best testing and/or proof of concepts
  • Research data attributes related to Payer adjudication
  • Work closely with engineers to groom user stories for each sprint

Required Qualifications:



  • 5+ years of experience in product strategy or delivery teams, responsible for supporting or delivering stakeholder on commitments
  • 3+ years of deep healthcare data knowledge and understanding
  • 3+ years of experience interfacing with business leaders and strategic partners to deliver strategic business plans and roadmaps
  • 2+ years of experience working in a Payer adjudication platform
  • 2+ years of experience as a product analyst/product manager
  • Best in class collaboration skills, ability to be a team player and flex as needed
  • Proven solid analytical skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in Claims Pricing
  • Experience in Benefits
  • Experience in Provider Clearance
  • Experience in defining and delivering enhancements
  • Experience working with products/capabilities that leverage Advanced Intelligence models
  • Experience with Optum Accelerate process
  • Experience with working in an agile environment

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
