We seek a Pharmacy Clerk to support all functions of the Genoa mental health and specialty pharmacy primarily through dispensing medical prescriptions and performing necessary clerical duties while under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm (Lunch from 12pm - 1pm)

Location: 17782 Cowan Street, Suite G, Irvine, CA, 92614

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provide excellent customer service both in-person and through ingoing and outgoing phone calls, working with pharmacy staff to provide accurate and timely communication
  • Accurately pick, pack, and process outgoing pharmacy orders through Point of Sale in accordance with established procedures and local State Board of Pharmacy
  • Adhere to policies and procedures pertaining to packaging medication and supplies, ensuring the integrity of the product for our patients
  • Perform various site functions such as emptying trash, assembling boxes, cleaning work area, processing and cleaning returned equipment etc.
  • May also assist with inventory duties, including proper storage and restocking of medication and supplies, receiving, and unpacking vendor shipments, and performing counts of physical inventory
  • May also support administrative tasks for Pharmacy, such as scanning documents
  • Create or fix shipping labels as needed and bring packages to shipping, mail, and courier as needed
  • Communicate with the Pharmacy Manager/Pharmacy Supervisor regarding all patient questions and/or issues
  • Adhere to all HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations and UHG Confidentiality and Code

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • Access to reliable transportation


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the state of California
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification
  • Customer service experience
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English



The salary range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
