Job Description

The Communications Consultant within Visa's Client Services, Client Care organization will be a results-driven individual with a digital-first approach to content development through skilled writing, visual design, and a passion for process improvement. This role will be pivotal for internal communications, collaborating with colleagues globally to tell the story of our people, services, innovations, and client-centric initiatives. The ideal candidate will blend strategic thinking with efficient execution to create impactful messages, optimize content by channel and audience, and drive our business objectives. This is an individual contributor role requiring strong business acumen, independent operation, and a curiosity to leverage technology and innovative tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop digital content, including writing and editing executive presentations, stakeholder-facing collateral, articles, internal-social-media posts, case studies, videos, graphics, and more.
  • Leverage existing brand assets to create content that communicates ideas, informs, and captivates target audiences.
  • Develop and execute effective communication strategies, identifying key messages to drive clarity on changes, impacts, and benefits for various audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define and develop content and digital assets that support business strategies and key performance indicators.
  • Manage a global editorial calendar and work with subject matter experts to develop and execute content ideas.
  • Monitor progress and evaluate success using a data-driven approach, continually improving processes to increase efficiency and impact.
  • Stay informed of best practices in communication, change management, and relevant platforms to bring innovative ideas to the organization and enhance user experience.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in communications, public relations, or a similar role, with a proven track record of developing and executing effective communication strategies.
  • Strong writing and visual design skills, with a digital-first approach.
  • Experience with content marketing, program management, and measurement.
  • Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, including social media management software, content management systems, and analytics tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams), Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere) or similar, and Generative AI tools.
  • Hands-on team player with strong organizational and project management skills, able to pivot quickly based on the latest developments.
  • Organized approach with attention to detail and strong process orientation.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a collaborative and creative mindset , connect the dots, innovate, iterate, and drive alignment.
  • Resourcefulness with a strong sense of accountability and results-oriented drive to overcome unexpected roadblocks.
  • Experience in financial services, technology, customer service, contact center, and/or change management (e.g., PROSCI certification).
  • Stellar written and verbal communication skills, including interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Advanced PowerPoint slide design and animation skills, with graphic design experience being a strong plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and manage multiple stakeholders at both junior and senior levels.
Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 79,900.00 to 116,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
