Global Banking & Markets - Public - Salt Lake City - Analyst - Strategy, Governance and Analytics

The Global Banking and Markets Operational Risk and Resilience team is responsible for oversight of Operational Risk (across Sales, Trading, Engineering and Operations), Supervision, Conduct, Control Remediation, and Business Resiliency.

The Global Banking and Markets Strategy, Governance and Analytics team exists to optimize operational risk frameworks, deliver key analytics, and to develop new innovations in order to improve the quality of operational risk management within the Division. The focus of the team is the operational risks that arise within the end-to-end activities of the Global Banking and Markets Division.

Global Banking and Markets Strategy, Governance and Analytics Team

As a member of the Strategy, Governance and Analytics team you will develop an in-depth knowledge of the operational risk profile across Global Banking and Markets. You apply your past experience working in financial services as you participate in the ongoing uplift and innovation of operational risk processes designed to facilitate the business's understanding and management of their risk. You will work closely with stakeholders across Global Banking and Markets to ensure our risk and control framework is effective and fit for purpose. You will leverage data and tools to transform the way we risk manage our business.

Your Impact:

• Continuously improve and maintain the tools and processes which support the Division's operational risk framework
• Design and enhance processes to deliver valuable risk management service to the business
• Uplift and innovate methods to identify, synthesize and visualize operational risk data, in order to enable high quality risk decisions
• Shape risk management strategies and frameworks in collaboration with 2LoD, which fulfill Global Banking and Markets business needs
• Own and enhance key event reporting for senior leadership
• Liaise with other Divisions, such Compliance, Legal, Risk and Internal Audit as well as support regulatory interactions

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Experience executing and developing risk management frameworks for Operational Risk Events and RCSA (Risk and Control Self-Assessment)
• Understanding of risks and controls across a trading or banking business, and how they relate to each other
• Aptitude handling large data sets, synthesizing a variety of information to describe a risk and control profile in both data terms and plain English
• Experience in process redesign and executing strategic concepts from inception to implementation
• Experience delivering project components
• Capability to build relationships across adjacent functions (such as Engineering) and senior management
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written, including communicating impactfully with management
• Drive to impact business outcomes and deliver quality products
