94 Old Short Hills Road, Livingston, NJ 07039 POSITION: APP Heart and Vascular Service Line - Cardiology DEPARTMENT: Cardiac Service Admin REPORTS TO: Vice President of Cardiovascular Services Job Overview: The nurse practitioner functions as an independent care provider in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, The care is characterized by comprehensive health assessments and management of patients with acute and/or chronic health problems in the heart and vascular service line Invasive and Non-Invasive, Qualification Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of New Jersey Certified Nurse Practitioner in the state of New Jersey Masters/Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited program ACLS/BLS/DEA/CDS certification Must have cardiac and/or critical care experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Scheduling Requirement: 40 Hours per week Weekend possible as needed Essential Functions Conducts thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations and review of diagnostic test results, Develops and implements comprehensive care plans for patients undergoing invasive and non-invasive heart and vascular procedures, Monitor, review and manage all cardiovascular patients, Provides pre and post procedure care management for invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular patients, Cardiovascular education and support to patients and their families, Facilitates discharges for Heart and Vascular service line patients, Provides education to staff and community regarding cardiac conditions and procedures, Participates in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes, Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including cardiologists, NP s, nurses and social workers, Additional Information: At RWJBarnabas Health, our market-competitive Total Rewards package provides comprehensive benefits and resources to support our employees physical, emotional, social, and financial health.
