Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Marine Corps Ground / Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR) Radar Trainer supporting training operations coordinated from Dam Neck Naval Annex in Virginia Beach, VA. This position is authorized to telework but must travel when deemed appropriate by the customer.

The program provides engineering and technical services necessary to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Port Hueneme Division's (PHD) mission, including In-Service Engineering, Acquisition Engineering, Software Support (ISE/AE/SSA), Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Installation Services/Support/Coordination, Programmatic/ Project Management Support, and Staging Facility Support Services.

For this specific position, the candidate will provide direct technical support to the Government In-Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) as a trainer for the AN/TPS-80 G/ATOR program. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for curriculum development, helpdesk support, and System Post-Deployment Review (SPR) resolution

JOB DETAILS

LOCATION: Telework with Occasional Travel

JOB STATUS:Full-Time

TRAVEL: Estimated Up to 20% travel

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

SECURITY CLEARANCE:Current active Secret Clearance or Must be eligible to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance.

CITIZENSHIP: Current U.S. Citizenship Required.

CERTIFICATIONS: USMC Master-Level Instructor Certification

  • Candidate must have 3 years of USMC radar experience.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience developing training programs, content and curriculum, including the conducting of hands-on training to both students and instructor

EDUCATION / BACKROUND:

  • Education: High School Diploma
  • 6 years minimum, 7-12 years preferred
  • Eligible for a Secret security clearance

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Knowledge USMC Radar-related logistics.
  • Familiarization with "Train the Trainer" Instruction techniques
  • Personal computer skills (competent with MS Office application

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop the curriculum, plan and execute training necessary to support deployment of the Marine Corps Ground / Air Task Oriented Radar (G/ATOR)
  • In addition to training, responsibilities include helpdesk support, and SPR resolution.
