Job Summary
Working closely with the Key Technology, Operations, and Services (KTOS) and Corporate Real Estate Services (CRES) senior leadership team to advance strategic initiatives, the ideal leader will have the skills and drive to execute dynamic ideas that connect with targeted audiences. Leading a team of thinkers and doers, the right candidate will bring a mix of commercial mindset, organizational change, employee engagement, and communications expertise, along with an ability to build collaborative partnerships across Key, to get things done. The primary focus of this role is on operationalizing KTOS people oriented strategic initiatives that foster higher levels of employee engagement, retention, personal development, broad-based skill building and/or other desired organizational outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the duties of the KTOS and CRES CAO Office which include, but are not limited to, the following: senior leadership planning and organization, employee engagement and recognition initiatives; internal communications and events; inclusion and belonging efforts; and leadership development programs.
  • Act as Deputy KTOS and CRES CAO, focusing on: CIO communications and special projects, supporting and leading strategic initiatives for the CIO and KTOS/CRES senior leaders, senior leadership planning, professional development programs, and directing progress updates for executive level leadership.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to manage internal change programs and visual and written communications.
  • Leads professional development programs including summer intern, rotational analyst, tech ready, and future ready programs; includes coordination and development/continuous improvement of existing programs.
  • Lead coordination of senior leadership team meeting agenda; facilitate weekly leadership team meetings (i.e. coordinate guest speakers, assimilate and coordinate completion of meeting follow-ups, proactively seeks ways to improve agenda and discussion topics).
  • Support and lead the creation and implementation of programs that support employee engagement, workplace culture, leadership initiatives, and inclusion and belonging.
  • Provide oversight, management, and support for the team in creating progress updates via dashboards/scorecards, internal communications, employee recognition programs, events, internal and external community involvement, diversity initiatives, and culture building programs and strategies.
  • Work closely with the corporate communications, marketing, and recruiting teams to create internal and external messaging, employment branding and communications; develop, manage, and implement strategies, systems, and processes to identify, collect and share information with employees and leaders.
  • As appropriate, represent KeyBank in participating in external local community forums.
  • Manage problem resolution and special projects for the KTOS and CRES leadership team.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, mentoring, and managing staff.
  • Some travel may be required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • A strong track record of performance with 10+ years' experience in leading teams or functions, that are accountable for achieving quantifiable results.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience translating organizational and/or people strategies into tactical plans to drive desired business outcomes.
  • Experience developing measurement strategies, creating, and reporting on Objectives and Key Results and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and influence outcomes in all directions - up, down, sideways, inside, and outside - to accomplish great things.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, prioritization skills along with an ability to balance multiple priorities.
  • Driven by, and able to inspire others toward, continuous learning and building a growth mindset.
  • Executive level written and verbal communication and presentation skills including strong executive presence and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong solution orientation supported by analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to foresee opportunities, barriers, and obstacles and formulate alternatives or mitigation plans to overcome them.
  • Working knowledge of including and belonging concepts.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in organizational transformation, change management, strategic planning, internal communications, and/or culture building programs.

Physical Demands

  • General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

Travel

  • Occasional travel to include overnight stay.

Driving Requirements

  • Ability to occasionally operate a motor vehicle with a valid driver's license.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $140,000 to $160,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
