Responsibilities

About this role:

This position supports the activities of the RIBC Research Products Program in the Hospital Services Department and reports to HS Manager, Regulatory and Research. This position is responsible for supporting and executing HS procedures with regard to processing products for research customers.

* Remnant donor sample tube management: sort, prepare aliquot specimens, label, document data, freeze samples, and pack.
* Pack and prepare research customer orders.
* Recovered plasma processing, packing, and shipment.
* Work and assist on special projects as needed.
* Document and report any unusual incidents to supervisory staff.

* Maintain professional ethics concerning confidentiality of donor information.
* Maintain knowledge of current Research customer orders, and products.
* Employ precautionary measures when handling and disposing of blood specimens.
* Responsible for short and long term Hospital Services Research Customer projects as assigned including maintaining required spreadsheets.
* Refer and adhere to applicable Standard Operating Procedures and policies.
* Maintain a neat and clean work area.
* Responsible for complying with applicable regulations as required in a cGMP environment
* Complete assignments independently and work with limited supervision
* Perform other duties as applicable.



Qualifications

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required

Computer Experience:

Experience with Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, and data entry

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in order to move packed boxes

The proposed hourly rate for this position is $17.82/hr
