Hunter Hamilton is committed to supporting our long-term partner within the oil & gas industry seeking an experienced Payroll Operations Representative. This position is responsible for executing payroll for its domestic and expatriate employees and provides backup support for all payroll tax and global relocation. This position is located at their headquarters in The Woodlands, TX.

Responsibilities include:

* Process and manage payroll cycle from start to finish for multi-state and US Expatriates that includes bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly payrolls. This includes importing batches, balancing payroll transactions, and running preview reports to validate data entry.

* Review computed wages and correct errors to ensure the accuracy of earnings. Ensures all changes to payroll are processed correctly.

* Respond to inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters.

* Inspect automated system output such as registers and standard reports, determining and correcting out-of-balance conditions.

* Execute periodic, quarterly, and year-end tax filings using ADP Business Transporter Software.

* In conjunction with third party provider, research and stay current with payroll tax law changes for the tax authorities and coordinate the resolution of tax notices from federal, state, and local tax agencies.

* Collect new and update state unemployment rates as they change, ensuring tax processing outsourcer is using the correct rates and that the correct rates are applied to the BSI tax.

* Assist with the reconciliation of payments made to vendors and third parties.

* Coordinate year-end planning up through the delivery of W2s and the resolution of issues that may arise after delivery.

* Audit and validate the information contained in the SAP system by balancing payroll results, general ledger postings and third-party remittance postings. Ensure appropriate controls and risk management procedures are implemented and monitored.

* Assist with internal and external audits.

* Assist with special projects as needed by management.

Required Qualifications include:

* Minimum of 5 years of experience processing time and payroll.

* Hand on experience with SAP HR Payroll or SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll.

* Ability to research and stay current on payroll tax law changes.

* Ability to validate information contained in various tax reports by balancing payroll results, general ledger postings and third-party remittance postings.

* Experience working with an outsourcer responsible for pay distribution, taxes, and garnishments.

* Experience coordinating year-end processes and W2 production.

* Experience in employee data entry and maintenance.

* Maintain high level of confidentiality.

* Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including high skill level using Excel.

* Strong written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications include:

* Bachelor's Degree in related field.

* Professional certification
