Come join the fast-growing Electrical business class in the Building Engineering Services business group (BES) at HDR. BES provides industry-leading electrical, mechanical, plumbing, site civil, structural, control systems, fire & life safety, and lighting design services for a wide variety of buildings that include public, municipal, private, and government project types. Projects are a balance of local as well as across the region. With a team of experienced staff in specific market sectors such as Water/Wastewater, Datacenters, Healthcare, and Industrial facilities, we provide engineering excellence for our clients.

In the role of Electrical BIM Coordinator, we'll count on you to:



  • Work under the direct supervision of a BIM Lead, Engineer, or other technical professional
  • Assist in the development of the electrical BIM model, with direct supervision from the BIM or Engineering staff
  • Responsible for assisting with the creation of the electrical BIM model, systems, content, and overall delivery output
  • Accurately model BIM elements in the correct special constraints of the modeling environment, using Revit, Civil 3D, or other 3D software
  • Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, & diagrams of the electrical design using Revit, Civil 3D, or other 3D software
  • Maintain the electrical model, including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, matchlines, views, and sheets
  • Produce electrical-specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output
  • Perform other duties as needed


Preferred Qualifications



  • A technical certificate, an Associate's degree, or a Bachelor's degree is preferred
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture is a must
  • Preference given to local candidates

Required Qualifications
  • Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure
  • Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
  • Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential
  • Basic understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
