Job Description

Employee Relations & Compliance Manager

The Employee Relations & Compliance Manager is a key member of the Human Resources team responsible for fostering a fair, respectful, and legally compliant workplace. This role leads employee relations activities, ensuring alignment with organizational values and policies, while mitigating risk and promoting a positive work environment. The Employee Relations & Compliance Manager oversees complex investigations, drives policy compliance, supports audits, and partners with internal stakeholders to strengthen organizational practices in support of employee well-being, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct thorough and timely investigations into employee concerns, complaints, and workplace incidents, ensuring impartiality and compliance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Manage the progressive discipline process, partnering with HR business partners and leaders to ensure fairness, consistency, and legal compliance.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) compliance, collaborating with legal to advise on current and evolving requirements.
  • Lead efforts to update and maintain HR policies, ensure consistent application and timely updates based on changes in laws and company practices.
  • Monitor and support timekeeping compliance, partnering with managers and internal audit to resolve discrepancies and ensure adherence to wage and hour regulations.
  • Support internal and external audits and surveys related to HR processes, employee records, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to manage complex employee relations incident response or sensitive workplace matters, ensuring effective resolution and documentation.
  • Ensure HR policies and processes follow all applicable local, state, federal, and international regulations, including data privacy and protection standards.
  • Analyze trends in employee relations issues and provide recommendations for training, process improvements, or policy changes.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers and HR partners on employee relations best practices, legal risks, and conflict resolution strategies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR leadership, helping shape a culture of accountability, respect, and compliance.
  • Act as Employee Advocate to ensure consistent Values Mindsets and Behaviors are practiced.


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required;
  • 7+ years of progressive related experience, including at least 3 years specializing in employee relations or a closely related discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting workplace investigations and managing sensitive or complex employee relations issues.
  • Solid understanding of employment law and regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., FLSA, FMLA, ADA, GDPR)
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and managing confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
