JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for administrative duties associated to the CMMS system and for the scheduling of vendor calibration related activities, including the review of associated documentation to meet conformance to established calibration standards and principles and PCI's Metrology program requirements. This is done by communicating with equipment owners and coordinating vendor calibration services for on-site and off-site calibration and repair activities, sending the equipment off-site for service, checking the equipment in upon receipt, reviewing all associated documentation for accuracy and completeness, and updating the asset management system BMRAM. The Calibration Scheduler ensures calibration of all vendor calibrated instruments are performed on-time and on schedule.

JOB DUTIES

  • Ship/Receive equipment to be sent off-site for calibration or repair.
  • Update and maintain calibration database (BMRAM, Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager)
  • Possesses an understanding of calibration practices in a cGMP environment.
  • Coordinate with calibration contractors and vendors to ensure calibration of all critical instrumentation is performed according to the schedule and approved SOPs.
  • Ensure vendors brought on-site are appropriately trained on PCI safety policies and escorted when required.
  • Coordinate with equipment owners in developing the calibration schedule.
  • Review calibration certificates for completeness and accuracy.
  • Tag all new vendor calibrated equipment/instrumentation and assign asset numbers.
  • Generate Purchase Requests per PCI guidelines.
  • Process new equipment and assign asset ID #'s.
  • Create work orders and assign to appropriate individuals.
  • Process new user access requests and train new users on CMMS system use.
  • Performs other tasks and special assignments as requested by management.

Required:

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS

  • Lab based equipment and instrumentation.
  • Well versed computer skills and Microsoft Office tools
  • Customer Service Skills
  • Effective communication Skills, both verbal and written

EXPERIENCE

  • 0-3 years' experience in metrology/calibration or QC laboratory at pharmaceutical manufacturing company
  • Blue Mountain Regulatory Asset Manager experience preferred.
  • Previous experience at a pharmaceutical manufacturer preferred.
  • Military calibration, maintenance and instrumentation training and experience

EDUCATION

AAS degree in electrical, electronics, instrumentation, industrial technology, or scientific discipline with at least 0 - 1 year experience working with instrumentation and calibrations in a GxP environment or HS diploma with 1- 2 years of experience working with instrumentation and calibrations in a GxP environment.
