Senior Manager Purchasing (Multiple Positions) - Starkey Laboratories, Inc. (Eden Prairie, MN). Responsible for all aspects of company's tactical procurement/purchasing activities and engineering processes. Duties include: align purchasing team with vision of the company and proactively implement improvements; collaborate with engineering team in the procurement of components from mechanical, electronic, plastics, and other categories; collaborate with managers on purchasing solutions that result in process and cost improvements; communicate purchasing developments, plans, policies, and operational changes; manage planning and procure materials; identify potential material constraints and communicate with engineering team and suppliers to elaborate a mitigation plan and identify alternative material; support launch production of new products; assist Director of Supply Chain in educating org leaders on trends in purchasing management; develop and enforce policy and procedures to ensure protection of enterprise material assets; collaborate with the Logistics and transportation team to optimize costs; eliminate variation between staff in the techniques used to plan and procure materials; and obtain knowledge of business processes and business unit interrelationships. Reqs. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a closely related field plus 3 years' experience managing functions and departments related to supply chain. Experience must include demonstrated proficiency with managing people and projects; Enterprise Resource Planning systems; and, technology uses and configurations. 5 days/week in-office. $159,135/year.
