The US base salary range for this full-time position is $243,750-$406,250plus bonus eligibility and other elements of our total rewards package. The range represents the amount bnsf | tech reasonably expects to pay for the position based on the level, scope, and responsibilities of the role. Individual compensation and level of position offered is determined by the hiring location and additional factors including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.In addition to base pay, BNSF offers a comprehensive benefits package.

As a Senior SAP Full Stack Developer, you will:

  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and efficient full-stack SAP Fiori/UI5 applications. Support end-to-end integration with SAPUI5/Fiori, OData services, and third-party applications.

  • Enhance existing UI5 applications, customize standard Fiori apps, build reusable UI components, and improve Fiori Launchpad configurations.

  • Perform complex ABAP development tasks across various SAP modules, engaging in design, coding, testing, and debugging.

  • Architect and execute complex SAP solutions involving requirement gathering, analysis, prototyping, designing, developing solutions, production support, and upgrade projects.

  • Contribute to S/4HANA implementation projects and leverage ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) capabilities.

  • Utilize SAP BTP for side-by-side extensibility scenarios and adhere to the Clean Core approach.

  • Optimize the performance of existing SAP UI5 apps, ABAP programs and Interfaces.

  • Architect integration solutions using SAP Integration Suite(previously SAP Cloud Platform Integration), connecting SAP systems with third-party systems, external databases, and cloud applications.

  • Architect real-time integrationand event-driven architecturesto synchronize data between SAP systems and external platforms

  • Maintain and enhance existing interfaces developed in SAP PO, monitor and troubleshoot integration flows.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to swiftly troubleshoot and resolve SAP-related issues with functional consultants, BASIS, Security and integration teams.

  • Lead the design and development of advanced HANA views (attribute views, analytic views, and calculation views) aligned with complex business requirements.

  • Create and optimize sophisticated SQL scripts and stored procedures in SAP HANA to enhance performance and efficiency.

  • Develop comprehensive data models and schemas in HANA Studio, BAS or similar tools, ensuring high data quality and integrity within the HANA views.

  • Lead the strategic implementation of real-time data transfer solutions using technologies like SAP SLT, overseeing the design and development of complex real-time data replication processes, and ensuring accurate data delivery through SLT replication jobs.

  • Drive initiatives to ensure data consistency and integrity between source systems and HANA, provide expert support for data reconciliation and error handling, and document best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference while staying updated on emerging technologies.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior full stack developers

  • Manage testing processes to maintain application quality and reliability

  • Participate in code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance operational efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

  • I am CURRENTLY authorized to work in the US.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education or work experience.

  • At least 12+ years of experience in SAP development and implementation, with demonstrated success delivering enterprise-scale solutions.

  • Proficiency in developing SAP Fiori/UI5 applications using SAPUI5, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS. Experience in monitoring application performance using tools like Dynatrace

  • Hands-on experience with development tools such as Eclipse, SAP Web IDE and SAP Business Application Studio for full-stack development and deployment

  • Expertise in RICEFW development, ABAP Core Data Services (CDS), AMDP (ABAP Managed Database Procedures), and ABAP Development Tools in Eclipse.

  • Proficient in OData and REST services for secure and efficient UI and PI integration with SAP systems.

  • Proven skills in optimizing ABAP programs and CDS views for performance enhancement.

  • Proficiency in developing and maintaining SAP PO and CPI integrations.

  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining data models and reporting solutions using SAP HANA and SAP BW. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and translate them into actionable reporting solutions.

  • Understanding of SAP BTP, side-by-side extensibility, and Clean Core principles.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Functional knowledge of SAP modules such as FICO, MM, PM, HR.

  • Familiarity with developing interfaces and applications using SAP Integration Suite, SAP Build, SAP Build Process Automation, RAP (Rest Application Programming Model), API Management, Advanced Event Mesh is a plus.

  • Experience in S/4 Hana Implementation project

  • Understanding of SAP HANA Graph Engine and Spatial Data capabilities.

  • Knowledge of SAP Datasphere and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for advanced analytics and real-time reporting.

  • Hands-on experience with custom code migration to SAP BTP environments.

  • Knowledge of machine learning and intelligent automation in SAP systems.

  • SAP Certification in BTP or Integration Suite or ABAP in Cloud or Fiori/UI5.
