Clinical Therapist CEEP PSYCH ADOLESCENT DAY CARE Full Time 84965BR Job Summary The Adolescent Clinical Therapist provides individual, family, and group therapy in an outpatient day treatment program that also functions as a school, conduciting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to support adolescents with emotional and behavioral challenges. The incumbent collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated, trauma-informed care and uses clinical expertise to address a range of mental health concerns, exercising judgment in selecting therapeutic approaches that promote student well-being and success. They are also rescponsible for facilitating a structured, supportive environment that fosters growth, resilience, and engagement in treatment. The McAuley Adolescent Counseling Enriched Education Program (CEEP) is an intensive, comprehensive mental health program offered jointly by St. Mary's Adolescent Psychiatric Services, San Francisco Department of Public Health (SFDPH), and San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD). Students often experience significant functional impairment in key areas (e.g. school/work, family relationships, developing appropriate social relationships). To address these challenges, CEEP provides comprehensive individual, family, and group therapeutic and educational services to middle school and high school aged San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) students who are unable to successfully participate in community-based education and therapeutic programs. All referrals are from SFUSD through the Individual Education Program (IEP) Process. The McAuley Counseling Enriched Education Program fosters student success in academic and community settings through evidence-based, motivational systems within a therapeutic environment. We provide comprehensive support for adolescents, empowering them to navigate challenges, excel academically, and achieve independence. To learn more about the benefits of working at UCSF, including total compensation, please visit: https://ucnet.universityofcalifornia.edu/compensation-and-benefits/index.html Required Qualifications This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations. * Strong skills in providing individual and group behavioral therapy, behavioral analysis, and/or educational interventions. * Strong knowledge of applicable laws and ethical standards associated with profession. * Strong knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. * Highly effective verbal and written communication. Demonstrated active listening, persuasion and counseling skills. * Strong skills in collaborating with health care providers, PIs, and community partners. * Knowledge of business software, specialized applications, and HER systems used in behavioral health clinics/clinical departments. * Experience providing counseling with adolescents and their families * Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with people of diverse race, ethnicity, and culture. * Ability to read, write, speak, and understand standard English language with fluency. Ability to conduct family and group individual therapy * Minimum three years related licensed experience. * Master's degree in related area or equivalent experience. Preferred Qualifications NA License/Certification Valid California LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC license.
