Overview:
Agile Defense is an award-winning national security company looking for a Development Product Owner to support our contract with the USDA Conservation Solution. This team member operates in a SAFe based Agile environment and is responsible for maximizing value delivered by the team. This role manages the team backlog and ensures it is in alignment with our Government partner's needs. The Product owner advocates for the customer as a liaison to our Product Managers and Government partners to link business needs with technology strategy. Their work enables the team to balance needs of various government stake holders while progressing the whole solution.

Responsibilities/Duties:
* Participate in Team and ART level SAFe ceremonies including, but not limited to:
o Backlog refinement
o Daily Syncs
o Product Demonstrations
o Iteration planning
o Preparing Increment Planning Sessions
* Liaison between the Agile Team and Government partners
* Translates technical work into business context
* Works as part of the Agile Team to realize the customer requirements as software
* Works with other product partners to provide input into
o Product Roadmap
o Planning
o Team-level prioritization
Required Qualifications:
* Must be eligible to work in the United States
* A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in related field or equivalent work experience can be substituted instead of a degree.
* Minimum 1 year of experience working in an agile environment to develop user stories, story points, and epics
* Strong communication skills
* Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
* Two plus years in software engineering with a focus on product ownership, product management or business analysis
* SAFe PO/PM certification or willingness to complete certification on hire
* Experience with Jira and Confluence
