POSITION SUMMARY: Proposes, designs and undertakes mentored, innovative projects or challenges to develop new machine learning software for retinal imaging. Designs and performs analyses of produced data and presents the outcomes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Doctoral degree (MD or PhD) with more than 1 year experience in research, with background in computer vision, image processing, biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, visual science and ophthalmology. Strong programming skills (e.g., C++, Python, R, MATLAB) and in-depth understanding of statistics and machine learning. Linux cluster experience is a plus. Proven publication track record.
