Position Summary

Echelon Services is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler to join our high-performing team. The ideal candidate will have over ten years of experience leading scheduling efforts for complex, technical projects-particularly those involving software development and systems engineering. A strong background in Microsoft Project and project engineering is essential, along with the ability to coordinate across multi-disciplinary teams.

This role will be instrumental in ensuring our programs are executed on time and within scope, directly supporting the success of our federal and DoD clients.

Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and maintain detailed, integrated master schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Collaborate with project engineers, software developers, and program managers to align schedules with project objectives.
  • Perform critical path and schedule risk analyses to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Lead scheduling functions for programs of similar size and complexity, ensuring consistency with federal and DoD project standards.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders, including Gantt charts, milestone tracking, and variance analyses.
  • Participate in internal reviews, external audits, and proposal development efforts.


Required Qualifications



  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project scheduling, with a focus on technical and software development programs.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or other related technical discipline.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Project for creating, managing, and analyzing complex project schedules.
  • Demonstrated success in leading project schedules for software-intensive or engineering programs.
  • Background in Project Engineering and an understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with software development environments and the ability to collaborate with technical teams.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent)
  • PL-100: Microsoft Power Platform App (MS Project certificate)


Preferred Qualifications



  • Knowledge of Agile and hybrid Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI-SP, or similar certification.

Salary at Echelon Services is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $145,000 - $165,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Echelon's total compensation package for employees.
