Principal Underground Mining Engineer (Resolution Copper Company, Superior, AZ):

Execute safe and practical mine designs, by providing guidance to a team of mining engineers and consultants while supporting their development and growth. Develop opportunities to improve safety and value, utilizing the latest technology to establish a highly efficient operation. Work closely with all other engineering disciplines to deliver an integrated design and ensure best for project decisions. Foster strong stakeholder relationships both internally and externally. Prepare and deliver on a schedule of work which is practical, considering key interactions, and ensuring adequately resourcing. Establish and refine production scheduling and improve mine scheduling processes and ways of working.

Telecommuting permitted up to 40% per week.

Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent Mining Engineering or a related field and 12 years of mine design and planning work experience, of which 5 years are progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience.

  • Must have 10 years of experience in designing underground mines.
  • Must have 10 years of experience in production planning systems and mine design software packages.
  • Must have 9 years underground mining construction.
  • Must have 7 years of experience in working with mine ventilation systems.
  • Must have 6 years of experience in underground mine development processes, specifically cave development and construction.
  • Must have 4 years of experience in delivery of mine development studies with a capital value of $250 million or more.
