Title: Senior Accountant (Cost Accounting)
Location: Niagara Falls, NY

Salary: $99,000 - $129,000
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week
Relocation Available

Focus: The Senior Accountant (Cost Accounting) is responsible for owning the controlling aspects around cost of sales. This includes Raw material - Yield, M&E Spending, productivity capital expenditures and working capital - inventory. You will also perform professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data, and apply accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions.

Senior Accountant (Cost Accountant) Essential Job Functions:

  • Key member of site leadership team.
  • Responsible for overall daily cost accounting activities, M&E closing processes (i.e. journal entry preparation), and monthly reporting.
  • Specifics of the job content will include posting journal entries, leading plant budgeting process, product costing, physical inventory observations and accurate recording, fixed asset reviews, reporting, analyzing, and communicating functional activities and results through well-defined and verifiable steps and analysis.
  • Anticipates and assists business unit leaders in financial data and analysis necessary for decision-making.

Senior Accountant (Cost Accountant) Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree* in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline; Master's Degree* preferred; CMA or CPA certifications preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years of related cost accounting experience; preferred background experience to include GAAP and SOX policies and procedures, general ledger systems, auditing practices, and public accounting.
  • Manufacturing/industrial experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated Microsoft Office Products experience; SAP or other enterprise systems experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience including the ability to drive results, collaborate, manage complexity and problem solve, and effectively communicate.
