Your Team, Your Impact

Marvell's Cloud Data Center Group is at the heart of next-generation infrastructure for hyperscale cloud and AI workloads. The Teralynx Switch Architecture Team leads the design of Marvell's state-of-the-art data center switch ASICs-solutions that deliver the performance, scalability, and energy efficiency required to support the world's most advanced networks.

As a Distinguished Engineer in the Switch Architecture team, you'll play a key role in shaping the architecture of switch devices that serve both traditional cloud infrastructure and emerging AI workloads. Your work will span performance modeling, architectural definition, and standards leadership-impacting Marvell's roadmap and the broader networking industry.

What You Can Expect

  • Define the architecture for Marvell's next-generation AI network switch ASICs targeting hyperscale data centers and AI-driven networks.
  • Anticipate technology trends to incorporate them into long-term product planning.
  • Contribute to and help define industry standards, such as Ultra Ethernet and Ultra Accelerator Link
  • Develop architectural and performance models to evaluate trade-offs in bandwidth, latency, power, and scalability.
  • Collaborate across silicon design, software, systems, and product teams to ensure architectural alignment and delivery.
  • Produce high-quality documentation including device specifications, performance requirements, and modeling results.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to leadership and customers, representing Marvell in strategic discussions.
  • Mentor and lead engineering teams in developing robust switch IP and architecture frameworks.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 15+ years of relevant experience
  • OR Master's with 10+ years
  • OR Ph.D. with 8+ years
  • Technical Expertise

  • Proven experience in architecting and designing complex ASICs and network switch architectures
  • In-depth understanding of high-speed interconnects, Ethernet protocols, and traffic management architectures
  • Expertise in AI networking topologies, load balancing, and packet processing at scale
  • Hands-on experience with C/C++, Python, and performance modeling tools
  • Familiarity with standards development
  • Leadership & Collaboration

  • Strong conceptual and analytical thinking skills with the ability to drive innovation
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex architecture concepts to internal and external audiences
  • A collaborative leader who can work across engineering, product, and customer teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and influencing product roadmaps

Expected Base Pay Range (USD)

203,900 - 305,500, $ per annum

The successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The expected base pay range for this role may be modified based on market conditions.
