This position reports to

Head of Talent Acquisition, North America

Your role and responsibilities

You will play a key role and will be able to make the difference in developing, guiding, and implementing the University Relations, Early Talent Programs and Employer Branding strategy for ABB in North America.
The Early Career programs and a sound University strategy, focusing on effective early career and diverse talent acquisition, as well as exceptional employer branding, are critical to guarantee ABB continues to innovate with success in the future.
This position will work closely with the business leaders, HRBPs, the Global Talent Attraction and Early Talent Team and the Global Manager Diversity & Inclusion to ensure that the programs are aligned with business drivers and needs while ensuring implementation in a sustainable manner.
This position is open to both Hybrid and Remote work.
*Build and develop an effective team and provide direction to staff members. Encourage collaboration, agility, and strategic thinking. Exemplify and hold team accountable to ABB's values and targets.
*Define sustainable social media and branding campaigns in close cooperation with the North America TA leader, local businesses, communications and marketing teams.
*Develop, communicate, and oversee execution of a comprehensive sustainable Key University Relations strategy, aligned with the business needs and the global Early Talents strategy, supported by data and with clear KPIs. Partner with each ABB business, key HRBP's and TA leaders to ensure all university relationships are coordinated and effective.
*Ensure we have initiatives and targets in place to guarantee a diverse early career talent pipeline and ABB is promoted as diverse employer towards our target talents.
*Develop and oversee the Early Career program management for North America, which includes the ABB Discovery Early Career Program, the Global Trainee Program, the College Internship and Co-Op Programs, among others. Track and trend US wide early career hiring outcomes. Using internal and external best practices, create, socialize and facilitate a framework to be used for all early career programs across the Americas - following the global guidelines. Create and maintain communications platform to engage, inform and connect all early career program employees and their business leaders.
*In partnership with the global talent attractions team, ensure ABB is represented well in employer branding efforts US and North America wide, in various platforms including but not limited to social media, online presence, event marketing materials, and employer messaging.
*Lead and contribute with your ideas and project management skills to ad hoc local or global projects shaping how we attract and hire candidates for ABB businesses.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, HR or related subjects with at least 12 years professional HR experience, preferably in Talent Acquisition and Employer Branding, in a high performing global organization and across multiple countries.
  • Extensive team management experience
  • Experience in and passion for designing and running early careers programs (internships, undergraduate and graduate programs) at cross-country level
  • Track-record in creating and implementing Social Media Employer Branding campaigns, including providers/agency management and performance tracking
  • Deep knowledge of the US University environment and diversity students networks - in order to develop a successful Key Universities strategy
  • Ability to network with and influence senior Business and HR leaders globally
  • Self-driven, resilient, energetic, enthusiastic and inclusive; creating or responding constructively to challenging new ideas and inputs.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication and facilitation skills
