Manager, LOTO & Safety Services

Your role and responsibilities

As a Lockout Tagout (LOTO) Field Technician to join our professional services team. This position involves visiting various plants and facilities to identify all energy sources for machines and equipment. The technician will develop detailed procedures that eliminate hazards during service and maintenance.
With experience, Lead Technicians will provide our customers with training, consulting, and evaluation services. LOTO Technicians frequently travel to different plants and facilities and interact with maintenance managers, health and safety managers, and other high-level personnel.
Your Responsibilities:
* Working knowledge of Lockout/Tagout execution and OSHA 1910.147 - The control of hazardous energy (lock-out/tagout) and ANSI-Z244.1.
* Identifying machines and equipment that require LOTO procedures and documenting all energy sources associated with the equipment.
* Collaborating with maintenance, health and safety, and operations teams to gather information about their equipment.
* Providing training and consultation on LOTO for our customers, including guidance on using our online software program.
* Working independently or as part of a team.
* Maintaining accurate expense records and timesheet hours.

Qualifications for the role
  • Highly motivated self-starter who excels at recognizing needs and providing solutions with minimal guidance.
  • Ability and willingness to work in industrial and commercial environments around machinery.
  • Knowledge and aptitude in mechanical and electrical industrial systems. Candidates with backgrounds in maintenance, equipment installation, troubleshooting, or repair, and a strong technical understanding are preferred.
  • Proficiency in using computers, including iOS operating systems and tablets, and the ability to learn new software programs/field software
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills to develop Lockout Tagout (LOTO) procedures and effectively communicate with customers and staff. Candidates should feel comfortable asking for directions and speaking in front of small groups for training purposes.
  • Willingness and eagerness to learn from current staff and the ability to work well as a team player.
  • Bonus skills include previous experience in writing lockout procedures or other safety-related documentation.
  • Willingness to travel weekly (75+% travel).
