Your role and responsibilities

As Global Operations Manager for Energy & Carbon Business Line within the Electrification Service Division you will play a key role in executing and contributing to the global service strategy. You will lead globally with also an US / Americas regional direct ownership the ECS Business Line operations, assuming full accountability for managing day-to-day activities and driving operational excellence.
Your primary objective will be to exceed customer expectations by ensuring seamless and efficient operational execution. This will involve a strong focus on operational excellence, customer care, satisfaction, cost efficiency, and cash flow optimization across the full value chain, while maintaining the lowest total cost of service delivery.
In this role, you will be also directly responsible for the operational performance of the U.S. ECS Unit and ECS across the Americas, working in close collaboration with Global P&L and portfolio owners. You will oversee all operations, ensuring compliance with Electrification Service policies, as well as health, safety, and integrity standards. Key areas of responsibility will be including operations execution, project development and engineering, manufacturing and production engineering, maintenance and procurement, quality assurance and continuous improvement, contract manufacturers, Logistics, planning, fulfilment, origination and consultative outcomes .
You will partner closely with stakeholders across the Americas region, including EL Service Local Division Managers and Local Operations Managers, to foster alignment and strengthen collaboration with local service units.
The work model for the role is: remote (#LI-Remote) within the USA and will require expected travel 30-40%, with a larger percentage required initially through 2026
This role is contributing to the Electrification Services division.
You will be mainly accountable for:
* Lead ECS Operations: Oversee ECS operations globally and in the US/Americas, focusing on profitable growth, service excellence, and customer satisfaction.
* Collaborate and Align: Work with regional and local EL Service units and third parties to align priorities, improve value chains, and ensure timely corrective actions.
* Strategy and Improvement: Develop a customer-centric operations strategy, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure cost-effective outcomes within budget.
* Health, Safety, and Compliance: Champion HSE standards, ensure compliance, and lead by example in safety and integrity.
* Team Leadership and Development: Build and lead high-performing teams, promote knowledge sharing, and implement training programs to enhance organizational capabilities.

Qualifications for the role
  • A University Degree in Engineering (preferably in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering) and/or Business management.
  • Minimum 8 years of industry experience, 5+ years of experience in Service Operations Leadership
  • Proactive approach, self-motivated, independent working style, strong negotiation and influencing skills and willingness to travel
  • General knowledge of ECS customer products, applications, and processes and strong leadership skills and end to end operational understanding as well as P&L experience or financial acumen will be appreciated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent English language skills. Other languages: Spanish, French, Portuguese, Japanese will be appreciated.
  • Six Sigma Black Belt will be considered as a plus, as well as experience in defining and executing service contracts

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $162,000 and $270,000 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
