Overview
BigBear.ai is seeking a Implementation Engineer Manager. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations for the Delivery Team that includes but is not limited to the following: setting work schedules, people management/team development, being the voice of the customer within BBAI, listening to and interacting with customers, and contributing ideas/lessons learned to the veriScan (BAX and EPP) solution.
What you will do
- Lead BBAI delivery team for the deployment of our industry leading facial recognition technology, veriScanTM, used for international biometric exit boarding, agent assisted bag drop, and international inbound immigration processing through U.S. Customs and Border Protection's (CBP) Enhanced Passenger Process (EPP)
- Collaborate with SVP, DI and SCM and Director of Software Development to prioritize support and development requirements of end-user/business
- Work directly with the Director of Software Development and Scrum Master to track each project
- Participate in pre-sales meetings with potential/existing customers providing insight into previous implementation experiences and potential challenges anticipated in the customers environment encompassing the E2E delivery and support lifecycle
- Effectively coordinate activities with CBP and Airline/Airport clients to outline software and hardware requirements, and other innovative features and/or capabilities
- Play an integral role in the development of RFP/RFI response preparation
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office suite
- Ensure all change orders are documented and billed. Review monthly/ad hoc invoices with finance team prior to their release to customers
- Attend sprint planning to clarify requirements
- Coordinate with new and/or existing airline clients to develop that have elected to use a one-step boarding process
- Coordinate with BBAI IT team to purchase all project related items (noted in SOP)
- Coordinate with third-party hardware fabricators to ensure quality standards are met and materials are delivered on-time and within budget
- This scope of responsibility includes coordination third-party resources that will be responsible for the physical installation of hardware that requires millwork modifications
- Review technical documentation to ensure continued veriScan compliance with CBP Business Requirements
- Respond to executive level tasking related to veriScan projects and/or statistics
- Respond to customer issues or concerns when outside of normal support functions
What you need to have
Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 8 years of experience; Master's Degree and 3 to 6 years of experience; PhD and 0 to 3 years of experience (in lieu of Bachelor's degree, 6 additional years of relevant experience)
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders within both the aviation and government sectors, both written and verbal
- Leadership and Influence: Ability to guide and influence the team and stakeholders towards a shared vision
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
- Prioritization and Decision-Making: Ability to prioritize tasks, make quick decisions, and manage conflicting priorities
- Technical Acumen: While not necessarily a deep technical expert, this role should have a good understanding of the technology used to deploy and utilize solutions
- Product Sense: Ability to understand user needs, market trends, and business value
