Strategic Account Metal Working Specialist

Position location is flexible and may office from any branch in the USA

Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:30am - 5:00pm

OVERVIEW:

Working as Full-time Strategic Account Metal Working Specialist, you will work with existing strategic customers at a corporate/enterprise-wide level as well as prospective customers to find solutions for their needs through working with their corporate Metal Working/EHS management teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

o Engaging directly with National Account customers/prospects and preferred metal working manufacturers on a daily basis

o Driving the metal working category top line sales and profitability for a defined list of customers on a global scale

o Communicating key metal working initiatives for customers to our network of metal working specialists and branches

o Performing metal working process mapping/facility assessments

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed

o Possess at least 2 years of industrial sales work experience

o Excellent written and oral communication skills

o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite

o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency

o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

o Work independently as well as in a team environment

o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

o Comfortable making high level, group sales presentations

o Willingness to travel 50% + with overnights required

o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 75lbs

o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

o Possess a bachelor's degree in a related field of study

FULL-TIME BENEFITS:

Fastenal offers a competitive benefits package to all full-time employees. This package includes Health, Life, Long Term Disability, and Dental Insurance, in addition to, paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and 401(k) with an employer contribution.

COMPENSATION:

The base pay range for this position is $54,000 - 66,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
