As a Programmer Analyst on the Production Management Team, you will provide day-to-day technical support in a mainframe production environment.
- Analyze and determine root cause of reported issues for Systematics Core applications and some 3rd party applications.
- Research customer concerns involving production applications not functioning as needed or designed.
- Collaborate with the team, business analyst, application support programmers and SMEs on issues discussing root cause and determining possible solutions.
- Suggest technical alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and systems.
- Work with a Project Manager to conduct planning, analysis and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks to correct production issues.
- Code, test, debug, document and implement fixes to various software applications in order to correct production issues.
- Write technical specifications, test plans and other forms of documentation.
- Make recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code.
- Provide leadership and guidance to other team members.
- Meet with clients to discuss root cause and possible fixes for reported issues.
- Utilize the ITSM ServiceNow Incident and Change Management System.
- Participate in a weekend on-call rotation and holiday/PTO support with other programmers.
- Support a production batch environment, occasionally joining bridge lines with other team members to assist TD Bank.
- Demonstrate an understanding of FIS Systematics applications and the financial services industry.
What you bring: * Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles, i.e., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development * Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition disciplines through Unified Modeling Language (UML), use cases, etc. * Excellent customer service skills that build high levels of customer satisfaction for internal and external customers. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors. * Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources. * Excellent problem-solving, team and time management skills. * Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas.
- Systematics Application Experience preferred
- Systematics Deposits application experience a plus
- COBOL experience required
- Must be able to provide on-call support on rotation including weekends.
- Must be able to work both independently and with a team of programmers resolving production incidents.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $81,580.00 - $137,050.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
