Genesis10 seeks a Construction Project Manager for a full-time, perm position in Coon Rapids, MN. The role will require onsite 2-3 days per week and will be remote one day per week, with some time required in the field at the location. This position will work in Coon Rapids, MN through the end of the year, and will move to Crystal, MN.

Compensation: $80,000-120,000 per year, depending on skill and experience level.

Job description:

A local client seeks a full-time Project Manager. This position will be responsible for the management of commercial construction projects including all aspects of the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead the development and construction teams in the development and construction of our construction projects.
  • Manage the relationships with the owner, engineer/architect, and vendors for the project.
  • Ability to solve problems, think creatively and communicate effectively.
  • Manage all construction administration including RFI's, submittals, changes, invoicing, and other construction administrative requirements.
  • Create job projections on a monthly basis for costs and revenue on the project.
  • Work with our internal construction team to achieve all project goals and requirements.
  • Create and manage project schedules.
  • Manage the resources dedicated to projects so that they meet the proposed budgets, timelines, and customer needs. Report variances in staffing requirements on an ongoing and timely basis.
  • Provide mentoring to the construction team on the project to help develop future project management talent.
  • Prepare project budgets and pricing during the development and construction phases of the project.
  • Maintain external relationships with trade associations, customer groups, technical support organizations and existing strategic alliances.
  • Ensure compliance with all quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA regulations.
  • Demonstrate leadership in the area of safety. This requires observing and enforcing safety rules and practices, encouraging safe work behaviors, and promptly correcting conditions and unsafe behaviors, which may lead to accidents.
  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities with existing and new customers as appropriate.


Physical & Environmental Requirements:

  • Physical requirements include the ability to communicate clearly in the English language. The position requires the ability to move around construction sites which may include climbing and moving across uneven surfaces. The site work includes exposure to mechanical hazards, and various environmental conditions including heat, cold, humidity, and fumes.


Technical/Job Skill Qualifications:

  • The candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications, and have demonstrated the following technical or job skills:
  • A bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred plus a minimum of four years of project management experience including staff management, budget preparation, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to prepare and coordinate detailed project reports and presentations.
  • Ability to present project results, proposals, and concepts to a diverse group of customers.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel).
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and Procore is a plus.
  • Maintain a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to meet customer site access requirements (drug testing, background checks etc.).
  • Regular travel with occasional overnight stays (approximately 25%).
  • Flexibility to work outside normal work hours/weekends, as required.
