Position Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Documentation Technician is responsible for accurately scanning, verifying, and organizing logistics and quality documents during the shipping and the receiving processes. This role ensures that all outbound and inbound shipments are properly documented and that records are maintained in accordance with company policies and compliance standards.

Responsibilities



  • Scan and digitize shipping and receiving documents, including bills of lading, packing slips, delivery receipts and quality documents.
  • Ensure all scanned documents are correctly labeled and stored in the document management system.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive logistics documentation.
  • Support audits and compliance checks by providing accurate documentation records.



Education



  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in logistics or related field is a plus.



Qualifications

Experience:



  • 1+ year of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or administrative support role.



Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:



  • Familiarity with document scanning equipment and software.
  • Basic knowledge of inventory and warehouse management systems SAP.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.



Technical Systems Proficiency:



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).



Eligibility:



  • U.S. Citizenship required.



Clearance:



  • Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
  • Active DoD security clearance at Top Secret/ SCI desirable.



Physical Requirements:



  • Carrying: able to carry documents and/or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents and/or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
  • Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas.
  • Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
