*Description*
A Prior Authorization Coordinator is responsible for efficiently and accurately processing prior authorization requests, ensuring timely and appropriate access to care, and adhering to utilization management policies. Processing Prior Authorization Requests: Handling requests from providers, patients, and internal departments, including verifying eligibility, benefits, and collecting necessary documentation Quality Control and Compliance: Maintaining turnaround times, ensuring accuracy in processing, and identifying potential errors or issues. Patient Communication: Providing clear and accurate information to patients regarding their prior authorization requests. *Additional Skills & Qualifications* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in computer software and data management systems. Knowledge of healthcare and managed care principles. Experience with prior authorization processes is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred. Ability to handle confidential information and maintain HIPAA compliance *Experience Level* Expert Level #westpriority25 *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
