Overview

TRC is seeking a highly motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our Civil, Municipal and Facilities team in the Phoenix, Arizona Infrastructure Market. Currently, this position will be located on a project site located in the south Chandler, Arizona area and focus heavily on drinking water treatment and distribution systems. This career-oriented position requires providing operational, permitting, compliance, design, and construction services. Our engineering staff provide engineering design and technical support on challenging projects including water and wastewater municipal infrastructure, site design and land development, State and local roadways, and renewable energy development. In this position, the successful candidate will apply their existing knowledge and develop new skills while working as part of a dynamic and fast-paced team. Assisting clients as they comply with various environmental regulations and addressing their permitting challenges by working with project teams to perform analyses and to develop and implement plans, designs, and specifications. The ideal candidate has experience executing and preparing design deliverables and providing construction support as well as experience with project and task management.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

Individual will be responsible for supporting licensed engineers in the development of the overall layout and original designs, or adaptations, for site development and infrastructure projects. Individual will work as a member of a project group and accountable to Engineering Management who offer guidance to assure functional excellence, competency and development. Position will require some travel to construction sites, facilities, or clients- sites to better understand design issues and to monitor construction progress.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation of sketches, drawings, and specifications for a project from verbal or written instruction.
  • Engineering analyses and calculations.
  • Organizing designs and details to produce a completed set of drawings.
  • Investigating and procurement of all data required to develop a design.
  • Researching and writing reports/opinions.
  • Utilization of various engineering related computer software.
  • Projecting estimates, conducting field work/surveys, and preparing drawings.
  • Assisting in the preparation of contract specifications.
  • Assisting in gathering data on all applicable existing conditions associated with the contract documents.
  • Assisting Project Engineer with completing permit applications and packages, obtaining jurisdictional approvals, and assisting with preparation for local government hearings pertaining to the projects.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in the design and construction management of drinking water systems (treatment and distribution) and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering
  • Arizona Professional Engineer (PE) certification is REQUIRED.
  • Strong project management skills including project CPM scheduling.
  • Strong client management skills.
  • Demonstrated track record in client development in an infrastructure/water resources consulting/engineering firm
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be flexible, well-organized, accountable, and dependable
  • Ability to work overtime as required to meet project objectives.
  • Physically able to perform work on-site in the field.
  • Tribal nation experience a plus.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $131,955.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
