Job Overview

The Engineering Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing projects related to Getinge Aseptic Solutions, such as research projects, product development, and other initiatives. They oversee the project from start to finish, including budgeting, scheduling, and coordinating with stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties



  • Manage the project team within a matrixed operating structure and facilitate a productive team environment.
  • Develop documentation, communication tools enabling the identification of issues and misalignments on project execution.
  • Identify inefficiencies in project execution and collaborate with team members to establish and implement solutions and process improvements.
  • Create and use existing tools for managing projects, including dashboards and project specific performance metrics and apply effective project management principles, processes, and tools to enable project success.
  • Create, edit, and ensure accuracy of data for project presentations and reports; when appropriate, present data.
  • Independently manage small projects within the program under Program Manager supervision.
  • Coordinate project team meetings and develop meeting agendas. Facilitate project team meetings for routine operations, take minutes and ensure follow-up of action items from the minutes. Prepare presentations as needed.
  • Organize efficient information flow within the project team, which can be spread across different R&D and product hubs/countries.
  • Provide the global cross-functional project team with project management expertise and ensure project team members are fulfilling their tasks efficiently.


  • Demonstrate the growing ability to enable and motivate teams to reach challenging objectives.
  • In collaboration with the Program Manager establish and maintain a project plan that depicts the activities in line with the approved global development strategy as documented in the Life Sciences BioProcess New Product Development Protocol.
  • Facilitate and contribute to development and execution of cross-business initiatives and processes.
  • Gather and analyze factual information and possible solutions to make independent judgments, decisions and recommendations.
  • Support the analysis and overviews of the project(s) budget collaboration with the Program Manager and Finance.
  • Responsible for a cost-effective approach to project plan activities.
  • Assist in special projects as needed.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties as requested.


Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor's or master's degree in technical field.Engineering is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing projects or a group or department.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical or medical device industry, with preference given to pharmaceutical and/or medical packaging.
  • Strong experience with MS Office applications is required (Word/Excel/Project).
  • Project Management training, certification or qualification (e.g. PMP, PMI, IPMA) or in process of obtaining certification.



Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Working knowledge of bioprocess and/or medical packaging industry, drug development process, primary packaging industry standards (i.e., ISO 15378), quality systems and design control.
  • Experience leading the development and implementation of projects, with ability to handle multiple projects and effectively manage timelines.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as effectively interact and communicate with all levels of the organization in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience working in a globally matrixed organization.
  • Collaborative and relationship building skills.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and facilitation skills.


Salary range: 100K - 125K annually and eligible for 10% STIP
