The Institute for Juvenile Research (IJR) in the Department of Psychiatry is seeking a Research Project Manager to support several community-partnered research studies. The Research Project Manager will work on various projects under the direction of multiple principal investigators within IJR. IJR's mission is to develop and promote effective policy and practices to prevent mental health difficulties and relieve the mental health burden of children and families living in prevalent poverty urban communities through research, teaching, and direct service. The Research Project Manager is primarily responsible for the oversight and execution of goals, tasks, and milestones for the Better Together Integrating MOUD in African American Community Settings (NIH HEAL Initiative) study at UIC. This position will oversee timelines and deliverables and facilitate study activities between the clinical hub site, community partners, and the clinical trials team within the Department of Psychiatry. They will play a role in recruitment and QA activities. The Research Project Manager will also serve as coordinator for the Great Lakes Node within the Clinical Trials Network. The Research Project Manager will maintain communications with various stakeholders, ensure appropriate and timely reporting, and adjust protocols and procedures as required. This role requires intricate planning to ensure the appropriate sequencing and timing of tasks, complex coordination of diverse teams, resource management, and effective problem solving. The successful candidate will be exceptionally meticulous, possess strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to juggle multiple tasks and strong interpersonal skills. The Research Project Manager will follow established research protocols to recruit and consent participants; facilitate interventions; collect and manage quantitative and qualitative data, coordinate the maintenance of data collection and analysis tools; and maintain positive relationships with community partners. The candidate will also prepare research results for presentations and reports, with opportunities to contribute to publications, grants, and presentations. The candidate may perform other duties related to psychological research and participate in special projects as assigned. Job Knowledge & Skills, Education, Experience: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social science or related field required. A minimum of three-year related research experience is required. The selected candidate would possess and apply knowledge of research principles, concepts, practices, and method, have the ability to commute to community partner sites, have experience working with substance use treatment or research, and have experience working with populations who may have been estranged from healthcare systems. Benefits and Compensation: The previously determined salary range for this position is $60,000.00 to $62,000.00.
