Description

As a Data Analyst Intern, you will learn process improvement and standards for accuracy. In addition to ongoing process improvement initiatives, you will be actively involved in the process of learning to build SQL queries and how to maintain the transmission of various data sets on a scheduled basis.

Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Learn how to produce and deliver ad hoc and routine reporting utilizing one or more internal and external database systems.
  • Learn how to facilitate the secure transfer of accurate data between RISE and program sponsors
  • Learn how to compile data from primary and secondary data sources
  • Manage and maintain current data
  • Implement and uphold strategies for data integrity
  • Provide quality assurance for reporting, invoicing, and imported data
  • Process confidential information and data in accordance to internal and program sponsor guidelines
  • Seek to have a clear understanding of colleagues' clients' and business partners' reporting needs
  • Troubleshoot reporting and software database errors
  • Test and evaluate application and software updates
  • Manage workflow configuration and user profiles for both internal and external software applications
  • Assists in application problem resolution as needed to ensure that internal and external customers receive prompt, efficient service in accordance with company policies
  • Aid in the final preparation of utility system uploads of savings and billing data


Qualifications:



  • Knowledge of writing SQL queries, ETL (SSIS) and stored procedures
  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and prepare files with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience working with energy efficiency program data, a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, with Excel reporting skills including pivot tables
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively with conflicting deadlines.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical and non-technical information clearly, effectively, and tactfully (written and verbal)
  • General understanding of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies



Travel: No travel is required for this position

Positions Type and Expected hours of Work: This is a part-time Internship 2 days a week (8 hours a day).

Physical Demands:



  • This is largely a sedentary role; with a large amount of computer work being required.
  • Answer phone, and use computer, Scanner, printer, etc.
  • Walking and Standing
  • Clarity of vision at both over 20 feet and under 20 inches
  • Able to judge depth, have a good field of vision, and identify and distinguish colors
