Employment Status: Full Time or Part Time Seasonal Wage Range: $ 15 to $20 DOE Minimum Age: 18 Background Check Required: No Driver Verification Required: No Position Summary: Responsible for monitoring and maintaining biking and hiking trails and bike park features. Promotes safety awareness initiatives, bike park etiquette, and guest relations. Aids in design and construction of trails and bike park features. Assists with set-up, tear-down, and staffing of special events. Intermediate to Advanced Mountain Bike skills required. Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
Secondary Responsibilities: Due to the many variables that affect Summer resort operations such as weather, special events, and number of guests, employees may occasionally be asked to perform other duties or assist in efforts outside their primary area of responsibility, and may be required to work additional hours outside their normal work schedule. Must gain knowledge of the services that Schweitzer Mountain Resort offers. Frequently working around heavy equipment. May be required to help administer first aid. Specific Job Skills: License/Certifications - None Technical - None Physical Capabilities - Lifting 25 lbs. frequently, 50 lbs. occasionally, and up to 100 lbs. with assistance. Standing and/or walking for extended lengths of time on uneven terrain. Intermediate to Advanced Mountain Bike skills required. Additional - Ability to read and write in English, simple instructions and correspondence. Education/Related Experience: Minimum education required - A high school education; or at least one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum time in related position - At least 1 month related experience preferred. Equipment and Safety/Protective Equipment Used: Handheld 2-way radios, shovels, rakes, drills, hammers, chainsaws, and various cutting tools. |
