The general purpose of a Distribution Planner 1 position is to analyze forecast circuit loading, calculate voltage levels and determine protection requirements for new large customer and subdivision requirements and then to issue system improvement plans to provide reliable and efficient power delivery. Tasks and Responsibilities
Minimum Skills Minimum Knowledge and Abilities
Demonstrated highly skilled working knowledge of overhead and underground designs utilizing GIS
Demonstrated proficiency with Distribution Planning Software applications including Cyme, GIS and MicroStation
Exceptional rapport with internal and external customers
Exceptional attitude toward CPS Energy, current job and associates
Exceptional attendance and punctuality
Demonstrated ability to initiate and write technical memorandums, letters and various written documents
Demonstrated ability to effectively plan and coordinate system improvement projects
Record of safe work practices and safe driving history

High School Diploma or GED Required Certifications Working Environment
Indoor work, operating computer, manual dexterity, talking, hearing, repetitive motion. Use of personal computing equipment, telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator.
Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business related events. After hours work may be required. Physical Demands
