Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Dynamics Test Technician to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Dynamics Test Technician position performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.

Salary: $20- $23/hr DOE



Responsibilities

    Sets up and conducts environmental simulation tests specifically focused on Dynamics: Vibration and Shock, but also including Climatics: Temperature/Humidity, Thermal Shock, Salt Spray, HALT, IP and NEMA Spray, Drop, Compression, Cargo Bounce, Accelerated Weathering, Acceleration, Altitude, Thermal Vacuum, and Pressure.

  • Documents test setup, progression, and results

  • Organizes and documents data for each assigned project in the project's test log

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of test standards, product test procedures, and instrumentation

  • Interacts with customers during the testing process, periodically assists with troubleshooting and development and schedule modifications

  • Performs preventive maintenance on test and support equipment

  • Performs responsibilities in compliance with all Company policies including but not limited to Terms and Conditions, Trade Compliance, treatment of others, moral code of conduct, and Employee Handbook

  • Performs responsibilities in adherence to all local, state, and federal laws pertaining to safety, environment, and corporate governance

  • Applies the principals of 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) in the performance of daily work responsibilities to ensure a clean, orderly, and safe work area

  • Abides by and ensures that all duties are performed in accordance with all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE), Trade Compliance, and Quality practices, policies, and regulations

  • Maintains customer confidentiality at all times



Skills / Qualifications

Working knowledge of laboratory safety

  • HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a testing related field - dynamics testing preferred
  • Analyzes and compiles testing data from the tests performed
  • Basic understanding of testing concepts- dynamics preferred
  • Possess computer skills
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus

Physical Demands:

  • Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate)
  • Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and >50 lbs. on occasion
  • Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
